The Forgotten Lair Forums

Welcome to The Forgotten Lair's first competition!

Participants are to create one 520x180 Anime or JPop or JRock or Japanese Pop Culture related banner which can ultimately end up in The Forgotten Lair's actual banner rotation on the main site. Along with having TFL Design's thousands of visitors viewing your banner in the rotation, winners will also receive Artbook Scans, Anime Original Soundtracks, Banner of Recognition from Phoenix and to the ultimate winner, Highlighting of YOUR WEBSITE on TFL for two weeks. Excited? Read the rules below.


COMPETITION RULES

- You must be a member of this forum.
- One banner per participant.
- The banner must be 520px wide and 180px high.
- The banner has to be Japanese Music/Pop Culture related. (JPop, JRock, Anime, Pocky, etc...)
- The banner must contain the words "The Forgotten Lair" and "version XIII" on it. (Please do not leave a signature.)


COMPETITION JUDGING

- You must be a member of this forum.
- A poll will be put up for anonymous voting.
- Everyone on this forum will have a chance to vote once all the entries are in.
- Participants MAY vote and can vote for their own.


In the end Phoenix will determine the First, Second, Third Place Winners and Runner Ups. Basically I will choose what banners make it to MY SITE'S banner rotation... (Yes this is a dictatorship.) Does this mean forum member votes have no persuasive power whatsoever? Perhaps. Why bother with voting? Because it gives people hope...


COMPETITION PRIZES
All prizes are sent via the internet. Artbooks are scanned and OST's/Albums are rips. Please buy the albums when you get the chance.

First Place :
- Your Banner is placed in TFL Design's Banner Rotation.
- Banner of Recognition designed by Phoenix.
- Two Artbooks or Two OST's/Albums or An Artbook and An OST/Album from Phoenix's personal collection.
- If applicable, your website advertised on my site for TWO WEEKS on my site's HIGHLIGHT section. (If you don't have a website, you may choose another OST/Album or Artbook.)

Second Place :
- Your Banner is placed in TFL Design's Banner Rotation.
- Banner of Recognition designed by Phoenix.
- Two Artbooks or Two OST's/Albums or An Artbook and An OST/Album from Phoenix's personal collection.

Third Place :
- Your Banner is placed in TFL Design's Banner Rotation.
- Banner of Recognition designed by Phoenix.
- One Artbook or One OST/Album from Phoenix's personal collection.

Runner Ups :
- Your Banner is placed in TFL Design's Banner Rotation.
- Banner of Recognition designed by Phoenix.

So excluding the Banner being up and the Banner from me, First place gets 3 prizes, Second gets 2 and Third gets 1 from my personal stash.

Nah, this event promotes the forums and hopefully they'll see what they were missing LOL. I have a lot of visitors that come on a daily basis that didn't join this forum. Just another medium of communicating. ^__^

Is it because the prizes don't want to be shipped abroad? ^__^ Everything is via email.

I think with deviantart being as big as it is it has to do with legal crap as well, but we don't have to worry about that here!:)
