So what happened to me was...I was in a graphic-designing mood on the way home from school and then I got home...I was shivering as I held the doorknob to my house. I got in, I felt the same exact way as I felt outside.

Reason : FURNACE BROKE.

So I was freeeeezzing cold, home alone and I tried calling my mom. It was pretty drastic if you ask me. I tried going on my desktop and I couldn't even type. It was about...51 degrees F that time? I was cold, like really cold. Oh well, what can I do, right?

So my parents got home, got the chills and saw me wrapped up. So we're like...alarmed?

ANYWAYS.

DISCUSS : how to survive without a furnace/heating system in the cold + no hot showers.

lots of hot packs? propane torch and a fairly large metal tub? keep 6 computers on at the same time all on full load? (3 computers is usually enough to heat up my room to a toasty 27 degrees in winter lol)

oh wow. I kept my desktop running during that time. My mom asks me to shut the comp and I usually tell her that I'm downloading music or something.

Propane torch? Not going to think what to do with that. I honestly wanted to buy hot packs but yeah ?++?

Don' forget you're using Celsius LOL.

Yeah, the pipes for the heat on my floor froze and bursted so I'm depending on the heat from the floors above and below me in my house to heat my floor. The good news is that the water from the frozen/bursted pipes leaked outside, rather than inside.

I'm always cold so I tend to wear a lot of clothes indoors. It's not uncommon to see my brothers walking around in T-Shirts and I'm bundled in a hoody.

I realized I use Celsius but then, I assume some people are from the U.S and they use Fahrenheit xD. Wow, I don't think it was that bad. I always wear a hoodie too, I love hoodies yet sometimes I feel too warm. I'm so happy though it's all over for me xD
