This is a fantasy pirate rp. I would like if people post at lest a decent sized paragraph. Not one sentence replies. The general rules of rp apply.

No powerplaying
As it is pirate there might be some swearing but don't go over the top.
etc. etc.

For positions on the ship it's first in best dressed. So positions meaning capitan, first mate... etc
You don't need to ask to join. Just fill out this character sheet and start roleplaying straight away.

Name: Ista
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire Sorceress
Position: First Mate
Description: Ista is an attractive young women with long black hair, pale skin and light blue almost white eyes. She wears tight fitting black pants with black knee high boots. Over the top she wheres a long tight fitting red tunic with long flowing sleeves. On the tunic is a hood which Ista wheres at all times. She also wears black fingerless gloves. Her weapons included a cutless and a bow and arrow and her magic.

-------

A steady wind blew, blowing the Frozen Sword slowly through the water. The ship was one of the most feared pirate ships on the sea and it only recruted the best. It also contained the most cultured crew, vampires, wizards, shapeshifters, humans and so many more different speacies sailed on the ship. It was amazing they got along.

Ista stood on the railing, balancing herself with a rope. She breathed in the smell of the ocean air and sighed, making sure her hood stayed down. She had already been blinded by the sun once, it was a reason why her eyes had gone from bright blue to being a more white colour. Some of the crew doubted she should be on the ship at all, being out in the sun alot wasn't good for a vampire.

Name: Rannos
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Human Fighter/Specialist
Position: Second Mate
Description: Rannos is an attractive young man with short black and white strands of hair that are spiked. With tan skin, deep blue/green eyes, and a well muscular (yet thin) physique, he gives off an aura of power and strength. Standing 6' tall, He wears black loose pants, with black knee high boots, a white noble man's shirt covered with by a black vest. Wrist gauntlets and a D'artanion hat, with a both a black and white feather, along with a long white sash tied along the waist finish this ensamble. His weapons include a rapier and a dagger, both of ornate embellishment.

------------

Coming out of the cabin for some fresh air, Rannos surveys the deck and surrounding sea, alert as always. The air was crisp as ever and he takes in a deep breath. Seeing Ista, he walks over and sets his back to the side of the ship.

"The captain is asleep, finally. He hasn't slept for days now. He wanted me to inform you that you are in charge while in his leave. Who knows how long he will sleep. How fares thee this fine day? It seems like a rare day on the sea. It's almost un-nerving this sense I have. Can't explain it."

Pulling from his pouch a telescopic eyeglass, he surveys the area waiting for a reply.

Ista looked down at the second mate. Amazed about what he had said about the captain. Maybe her prayers and smalls spells had helped after all. It was more battle magic she was good at, not healing or helping people sleep. "It's a fine thing to hear his asleep." And more of a good thing she was in charge. Even if some of the men thought it wrong for a woman to be first mate.

"The winds are blowing rather oddly for what the weather brang yesterday and early this morning", she glanced at him as he looked through his telescope. Unliike some on the crew Ista didn't have the rough accent and actually spoke very well. All part of her dazzling, secret history of once belonging to a noble family. "As for myself. I wish the blasted sun would go away behind a cloud already."

"I'm quite sure your prayers helped the Captain", Rannos reassured. Looking along the horizon, not many clouds could be seen. It was going to be a bleak day for everyone in the blistering sun, granted the brisk breeze gave the only comfort aside the sea. Rannos took note to the wind and it's oddities Ista mentioned. "Hmmmm....", as if thinking of the weather, "...you're absolutely right", giving a grin. Licking his finger and putting it up to the wind, he gagues where the wind is primarily blowing from. Looking through the telescope again, he spots some faint clouds in the distance. "I have the feeling someone's following us, and given the current position of the wind, they're trying to come up on us from behind. It's an un-natural wind for sure. Perhaps an enlistment of a sorcerer to manipulate the weather for their sails? Whoever it is, they still have a long while before they catch up."

Only a few islands lay within sight. "Your orders Ista? Shall we wait, take leave behind an island to see what we're up against, or do we prepare and meet head on? Or, do you have another idea?" Rannos looks into Ista's phantomly white/blue eyes with the same strength as always, undaunted. "I estimate half a day if they're good enough to catch up. We have even less time before we're in sight." Rannos puts his telescope back in his pouch.

Ista nodded in agreement to Rannos theory. So thats what the nudging at the side of her mind was. It was the power she sent out to checkif anyone was coming near them. Most times she ignored it, most times mistaking it for a headache. The vampire was constantly having other people remind her of her power by asking if she could feel anything. "I don't think they have spotted us. They are hidden in the winds so it's imposible for them to see us. This sorcerer isn't well trained." She smiled.

Orders? What were her orders. Often whenever she was put in charge nothing exciting ever happened and the captain was up before long anyway. He was rarely asleep for more than two hours at the most. Ista was a very curious young lady and she hated hiding. "I say we wait. They'll come up cover us in the fog as well. They don't seem very smart. It'll be an interesting encounter." Ista looked away from Rannos stare, she hated when people looked at her without fear. It was in the nature of a vampire to create fear and she hated failing.

Nodding, Rannos almost looked a bit disappointed, mumbling "darn. thought I would have a real fight. Amateurs...."

Stretching one arm over his head, he lets out a sigh. "I hate waiting. I hope this sorcerer puts up a bit of a fight, unlike the others...." Few people, Ista included, have seen Rannos' abilities. He was a specialist in fighting sorcerers especially. He wasn't worried. Fighting has always been his life and blood. It's almost scary, yet he is polite and well mannered. Some people wonder why he was even on the ship. They knew it wasn't for the money. No, it was for the excitement and the experience. He likes to surround himself with powerful people aside from that, and what better place to be but on this ship? Rannos simply seeks a challenge, and today doesn't seem to fit his expectations, and it shows on his face. He hopes that perhaps one day..... one day the glory of battle will grace him, but not today. Not now at least.

Looking semi-content with things, he offers Ista his hand to be helped down from the side of the ship, courteously. "Shall we go inside and plan in the cabin? I doubt we'll wake the captain. Exhaustion has taken him over. Besides, I'm sure he will want us by his side when he wakes. This will be interesting indeed Ista. Very interesting."

The vampire had to agree. Waiting was a thing she also hated. She was glad there were people like Ranno's on the ship, although she had never amitted to anyone but Ranno and the captain, she was afraid of other sorcerers. It helped that there was someone on the ship that could deal with them. No one else could figure out why she was always on the other side of the ship when they were attacked by others with magic. "Maybe he will, his powers seem stronger than the last one we ran into, i don't think he was learnt to use more than he is using now though. The rest of his power seems unused and weak. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll tap into that power for the first time."

Being able to sense things like that helped the crew a lot, so they knew what they were up against. She glanced down at his offered hand, she had always liked Ranno. He was one of the few who didn't avoid her because of her vampire self. It made her think some how he knew about her being a part of a noble family. Casting the thought aside she took the hand and sprung down. Passing him without a word and walking into the cabin. Looking at the sleeping Captain she sighed, lowering her hood as she did, revealing long black hair tied into a tight plait. "Do you think we should wake the captain to inform him of the situation?"

Rannos followed Ista into the cabin, closing the door behind. Looking at the captain sleeping, he felt a bit relieved. "I think we should let the captain sleep a bit longer. We still have time after all." Looking at Ista, he sat down at the table in which a large map held down with rocks laid. "Last I recall, the captain had planned a course for this location". Pointing to a remote island on the map, 4 days travel away.

"It's just a matter of waiting now. Perhaps this interference will help to pass the time." Smirking, Rannos thinks about what may happen for a bit. It's short lived as his stomach growls in hunger. Rannos feels embarassed by the noise and turns a bit red. "I guess I should get something to eat." Rannos gets up and walks to another table which has some food on it. He gathers a plate up and looks to Ista, grabbing a second plate, "Want anything while I'm up?" Rannos prepares a second plate. If Ista didn't want it, he would eat it. There was plenty of food, and Rannos had an apetite that could go wild if he let it. He offered Ista a plate of food, and looked around for some glasses to drink from.

((Out of game: We soooo need some more people to play roles!!))

(tell me about it... it gets boring with just two people)

Ista continued to stare at the captain as Rannos spoke. The captain didn't look happy being asleep, on the other hand he wasn't entirely happy being awake either. The vampire sighed and frowning as she turned around she sat down in a chair on the oppsite wall to the bed. "The Golden Island. Yeah I've been hearing about it ever since we left port. A real island, though I think the legends are a load of dragon dung. The captains convinced though."

She looked at the food on the plate Ranno's oftered. The vampire took it of im, sniffed it than shook her head in reply, handing it back to him. "Not to my liking sorry. Too cooked", she smirked and laid back. It digusted a lot of the crew but being a vampire she did prefer fresher meat, living if she could get her hands on it. Fights with other ships allowed her to get food of that kind.

((Well, I'll just have to come up with better story lines until then :) Guess we can't complain. I don't think the other RP's have even started yet. Aside from that, I like how descriptive you've been with the RP. Much unlike other RP's I've done. It helps a lot in having something to go off of when it comes my turn to progress the story. :D ))

Rannos is both concerned and a bit happy as Ista pushes back the food. Concerned for her appetite, as she hasn't fed in a while, and yet happy that he now has two plates of food to eat as his stomach grumbles more. Rannos isn't familiar with how long vampires can go without feeding, but he didn't let it bother him too much as he's an "on the whim" kind of person unless situations led to the need. Rannos sits down and eats down the food. Afterwards, he sets the plates with the others.

Rannos looks to Ista. "I tell you what, if I'm on my death bed you can have me for food. I shouldn't be overcooked unless a fireball hits me." Rannos smirks as he says this, half knowing it's an ulikely event and shouldn't be something to joke about aside that, but half way wanting to break the tension in the atmosphere and see Ista's reaction. Rannos knew if he was going to die, it would be a hard task in the eyes of most. Rannos actually admired Ista. Smart, strong, immortal, and a bautiful, refined woman. The only weakness he felt he had, but hid well.

"The Golden Island holds a lot of interests. Mine being the best made rapier, aside from other weapons made in the world, according to legends. Does anything of the island's legends interest you Ista?"

Rannos doodles lines across the map, setting the cource layout for best odds and least amount of travel time. "I think I can cut our travel time by a day if we follow this planned course." Rannos feels accomplished after figuring this out. The captain rustles around a bit in bed again, stirring around and being calm again.

(you think that is descritive... thats nothing compared to what i usually write... in some rp i've wrote twice the amount of what you just wrote... sometimes more... my goal in life is to write a novel and so i use descrptive rping to inprove in my writing...))

Ista stared at him with slight anger and slight amuzement. Rannos knew as well as Ista knew that she would never harm him or anyone on the ship for that matter. Vampires sometimes made very loyal companions. "I'm afraid you wouldn't taste much better than the food you just ate. Humans with bad humor usely taste bad", she laughed. "But don't worry, I can go a few weeks without eating. Unless I get wounded, than I must eat."

Offcourse legends of weapons would interest him the most, she thought to herself. On the other hand now he mentioned it there was one such rumor that she dreamed would become true. Ista was always searching for a way to increase her power. Her greatest ambition was to be the greatest sorceress in the land. One she had never told anyone because of her fear of other sorcerers. "There is one...", she stopped and watched the captain as he stirred. Shaking her head Ista stood up and looked at the map and Rannos new calculations.

"This could work. Risky though" She traced her finger along the line of islands the new root took them through. "The King's Royal Navy was deported and placed along here five weeks ago. They figured many pirate ships passed through here. More than likely they are still there. It's worth the risk though because they won't be able to get close enough to shoot because of the rocks but... " she moved her finger along to another point. "Once we get here we will be in range of their long line cannons." Ista smiled and looked up and Rannos. "Exciting right, just imagaine doing that straight after dealing with the ship behind us."

((NICE!! I wish you the best in novel writing!! You're awesome at it!))

Rannos smirked at Ista's reaction and felt relieved from the humor. Rannos also took note of Ista's cut off sentence, but knew better than to inquire further, at least for right now.

Looking at the map with Ista, Rannos pointed to the generalized area off the cliffs. "This area does provide cover, as you say. We'll take our time and sail slowly through there, using that to our advantage to set up a diversion and flank with a seperate group where they're stationed." Rannos points to the precise locations of the ships amongst the islands. "I recieved valuable info on this from Nathaneil De'Vouron, the shapechanger who pretends to be enlisted in the King's Royal Navy. You might know him as Pike. Don't worry, the info is good. I pay very hansomely for his efforts." Rannos smiles, "besides, it's overly beneficial in the long run. More supplies, better food, and a small portion of the payment agreed to Nathaniel. He said he wants to 'see certain people suffer' for their last seige on his kind over in Caparia. It's what I call a Win/Win situation. All that along with the captain getting the glory over other pirates, increasing our trade value. Especially if we can commodere a Navy Ship. Wouldn't it be convenient if the ship following us was one? We can pretend to be one of their own and take them over. We can then get long line cannons on THIS ship." Rannos smiles even more with a devilish look on his face. "They will be the pawns in this game. We will not lose." He chuckles a bit with great confidence.

"What do you say Ista? Even more exciting than before huh?"

The boat sailed on and then the captain awoke and was told the news of current plans and a battle to wage. The air was brisk, and so were the spirits of the crew to hear of new blood to be spilt and booty to be taken. Today was turning out to be better as the day passed.

Ista nodded in agreement as he said his improvements for the paln. Pike, yes she knew Pike. As she recalled she hadn't gotten on well with him. It wasn't known to most outsiders but Vampires and Shapeshifters, most of the colonies anyway, had a secret hatred of the other speacies. The reason wasn't known, by either of the two types of creatures there was only the knowledge that something had happened between them and the disagree had been around for hundreds of years.

"It would be a grand thing if it was a Navy Ship. A fleet of pirates is more feared than just one ship even if it is The Frozen Sword. Too bad it's not though, unless it is a rouge one. The Navy were banned from using mist like that to hide their ships," she smiled along with Rannos. As she saw the Captain waking she took her leave. Leaving Rannos to explain. As the word did go around the ship she stood in the direction the mist was coming from. Not taking her eyes of it so they would know when to attack.

Because of the now overcast sky she let her hood fall of her head, unafraid of er eyes getting hurt. Her long black hair was now out of it's plait and was soon picked up and tossed around in the breeze that was picking up. Ista also had her bow, quiver and cutless with her. It always managed to cheer her up and keep her calm having them with her.

Rannos explains to the captain the plans and he nods his head, giving the eerie eye to the map the entire time. Afterwards Rannos states he should be on deck for the upcoming battle. Before he could finish his sentence, a bullet shatters one of the panes of glass in the backside of the room (also the backside of the ship). Thankfully nobody was hit, but our attackers were making themselves known. Rannos and the captain run to the deck and see a mighty ship come from behind them. Rannos draws his rapier and dagger, waiting ever so vigilantly as cannon balls his the deck and other crewmen go flying. The captain starts barking orders to reposition. Rannos runs to the starburt bow, where the ship will run next to theirs and be at the forefront of battle.

As The Frozen Sword moves closer, Rannos is trying to see their caster. Where is their caster? As he tries looking an arc of lightning shoots from their port side area towards Rannos. He swings his sword and dagger at the same time, in a motion that deflects the bolt astray. He knows the general area his target is now, and the anticipation of seeing his enemy close up was consuming him. He was excited to see the first attack aimed at him. It's like the caster knew who to seek out.

As the ship moved within eye sight and mounting their ship was almost within reach, the chaos was even greater. The ships were dukeing out the heavy cannon balls at each other, while Rannos and a few others protected the distance shots of the sorcerer and small bullets. Rannos saw the sorcerer, and was a bit amused. This wasn't just a sorcerer, but also a hunter. Apparently people sought to break the starting legends of Rannos' abilities. "A Hunter!?!? How amusing, HAHAHAHA!"

Within moments the battle would be fierce and the chaos three fold to what was going on already, which would un-nerve those unadapted to such things. Thankfully this crew was all pro's and knew what to expect. Rannos looks to Ista, casting spells and then back at the ship, waiting for the clearance to be close enough to jump over.
