Have you used the spellcheck advice I've given you? 0__o

Beijing
Rooting (routing is like the routing number to your bank or something - "route")

And no. I cheer for them all to have fun, but I hear Michael Phelps is a dolphin and likes iPods and that the Americans are having a hard time believing that Chinese girls can look that young at the age of 15.

rofl.

I was actually about to start a thread about the olympics..i was watching the beach volleyball, and was in a "ranting mood".
I'm rooting for Britain, obviously..but the olympics started whilst i was in italy for a week..and all they showed was the italians..so i guess i'll support them if i see them too.

I was just watching Netherlands vs Georgia in beach volleyball..and one of the niggling qualms i have with the olympics, is that the two "georgian" volleyballers aren't actually georgian. They were born & raised in "southern america", but i'm presuming they have Georgian lineage, which grants them the privelage to play for that country.
I think they should definately change that rule..to something like.."you have to live for at least 1 - 3 years in the country you want to play for and have the blood in your family."
..but hey, that's just me.
Going by these rules, if i entered for the 2012 olympics in London, i could play for Britain (countless years in england/wales) or Italy (6 years in Italy, and family there).
...i doubt those players were even speaking Georgian.
><

Fair play to China & the US though..they're doing real great.
(on a side note)

What a weekend!

GB's medal haul

Relive GB's most successful Olympic weekend as swimmers, sailors, rowers, gymnasts and cyclists were all victorious, taking home 17 medals. Will success in Beijing inspire our future athletes? Have your say.

    11 Gold
    7 Silver
    8 Bronze

    4th overall.

;D

USA for me.

i know i'm late. but, Team USA for basketball murdered the competition as they were supposed to.

did you see the freakin' FINALS?!?!? KOBE BRYANT was a BEAST in the fourth quarter. WOW. i was souped as HELL when i watched him do the plays he was doing. i sware. he's another Michael Jordan. watching how he took control of the game in the 4th was amazing. they got the gold! HUGE props for Spain for keeping such an exciting game. i can't believe how they competed. but, Team USA had an all star team. the team was so sick, it was unfair to the competition. but, the game was so close in the Finals they won by just 11.

AND OF COURSE. can't forget the women's team. the women's team for Team USA won their games by even more point margins than the men. for them to have the kinda team they have at their disposal as well? it's a dissapointment if they don't win. Australia were the reigning champions. but, team USA changed that.
