Reading Mangas usually needs more imagination to comprehend, but they don't contain fillers *cough* Naruto/BLEACH *cough* like the Anime Series do...

Which do you prefer? Vote on the poll! :D

Actually that depends.. stuff that are like 3 million episodes long like Bleach and Naruto have DRASTIC changes in their art from time to time...

Ah, but the anime does have the background music and awesome soundtracks.. I don't know many that could a have a different tune in their head for each character/manga.

Depends, really. With the Manga, the author can go all out and throw in as much detail as he/she wants to flesh out the story. Where as with an anime series, it's usually 24 episodes and that's it, unless you can snag a second season or two.

One example is the Le Chevalier D'Eon manga/anime. The manga takes on a much more gothic tone (Marilyn Manson cameos at one point), and is much more bloodier and violent than the series. Much of the political exposition that the anime dives into is rejected in the manga series, and instead we get mutant lizard/humans, Lia crucified on a cross, and as noted above, much more violence than the anime ever went near.

As for the anime itself, it feels more as a "What if?" in which it explores the root causes of the French Revolution, and throws in the Poets and Psalms as a way to explain the down fall of the French Monarchy. This in turn, changes Chevalier into a totally different beast, one that more geared towards the political exposes of the 18th century, than the bloody, gothic violence of the manga.

Since I started reading the manga, it's sorta made me wonder if converting the manga to anime would have been a better choice. It probably would of certainly gotten more fans interested in the show. I guess it's one of those things we can only speculate about.

soari if you click POST REPLY rather than using the Quick Reply box, you'll see the emoticons, amongst other options...

PLEASE DO NOT DOUBLE POST. EDIT YOUR LAST POST INSTEAD.

Ah another thing with anime - younger audiences are more attracted to watching than reading sadly...

..i don't know what to put down as my favorite?

..anime, i can..."legally aquire online"..
...*ahem*.

...whereas manga, i have to shell out £6.99 for everytime i want a new one.

..that said, manga (in my opinion is more..detailed, and feels like something i can immerse myself into more than anime. Though i guess this is because i'm not really a tv kinda guy, i'm more of a "readabook" kinda guy.)

..although, anime lets me catch glimpses of the concept in it's true....meaning?
...like...i can watch it dubbed.
..whereas english manga, they might cut out some stuff, etc etc.

i d'know..

..i guess in the end, i'mma go for Manga..due to the fact that i enjoy trawling through my old ones, and doodling characters, every now and then..

WRONG. Japan has been sending its complaints to America to somehow stop these fansubbers from destroying their industry. If this keeps up, we'll be depending on the UK to fansub...

Personally I think their sales come in merchandise but what would I know...?

You study bussines correct? So sales involve bussines right? And my minds wanders into what I call my "happy place" and sometimes it wanders into the deepest pits of hell and teenage hormones..
